Uber drivers go on strike in Nigeria

Uber drivers in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, have commenced a strike action.
The drivers downed tools on Monday, amidst several allegations against the American owned global firm.

Uber has become increasingly popular in Abuja and Lagos especially among young, middle-class people.

It allows private car owners registered with it to work as drivers who can be easily ordered online by prospective commuters using their mobile phones or computers.
